BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Ricardo Estrada filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on May 22, 2023, involving a Department of Code Compliance employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Mr. Estrada have reached a proposed settlement of his claims, subject to City Council approval. Mr. Estrada is represented by Shawn Hashemi and Chalaki Law, P.C.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on May 22, 2026.
