BACKGROUND
This item authorizes the acquisition of a wastewater easement from Blayne Rush, of approximately 6,186 square feet of land located near the intersection of Arden Road and South Lancaster Road in the City of Dallas, Dallas County for the FM01 Five Mile Creek Interceptor Project. This project will facilitate the construction of an estimated 14,700 feet of 72 and 84-inch wastewater mains along Five Mile Creek.
The mains targeted for installation were identified in the Comprehensive Wastewater Collection System Assessment Update based on capacity improvement needs. Future construction of the proposed mains will increase wastewater system capacity to meet existing and future projected peak demands, reduce sanitary sewer overflows, and reduce maintenance costs.
