BACKGROUND

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide cyber ranges that deploy a selection of testing and training capabilities to enable City of Dallas security, risk, and vendor management teams to meet the objectives of the business. SimSpace will help various teams evaluate new tools, measuring staff readiness, pitting defenses against specific attack scenarios, and cyber ranges that can be molded to fit City of Dallas exact objectives and reporting requirements. SimSpace also provides high-fidelity cyber ranges, cyber security training, and live-fire exercises that enable organizations to develop teams and manage risk.

The Interlocal Purchasing System agreement was authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
