Body
BACKGROUND

On February 12, 2025, the City of Dallas entered into an Advance Funding Agreement with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the amount of $8,667,496.00 for design and construction of a twelve-foot-wide trail from Hampton Road to Westmoreland Road. To meet TxDOT's project implementation schedule, City funds allocated for this project were used to expedite the trail's design. The use of City funds to complete design allows $140,380.00 previously allocated for engineering design services to be reallocated to trail construction.

An amendment to the Advance Funding Agreement is required to reallocate funding from engineering to construction. The overall project cost, including the required local match, remain unchanged.
