Authorize a construction services contract for Complete Street Improvements on Columbia Avenue/Main Street, from South Beacon Street to Deep Ellum - Axis Contracting, Inc., lowest responsible bidder of six - Not to exceed $16,064,841.80 - Financing: 2024B Certificates of Obligation Fund ($9,387,852.05), Street and Transportation (A) Fund (2024 General Obligation Bond Fund) ($4,996,250.00), Bike Lane Fund ($800,000.00), Water Capital Improvement G Fund ($553,839.75), Water Construction Fund ($218,600.00), Wastewater Construction Fund ($80,300.00), and Wastewater Capital Improvement G Fund ($28,000.00)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with Axis Contracting, Inc. for Complete Street Improvements, including bike lanes, on Columbia Avenue/Main Street from South Beacon Street to Deep Ellum.
The scope of work will include, but not be limited to, 56 new trees and 200 pedestrian lighting poles along the Columbia/Main Project. There are also upgrades to traffic signals at seven intersections along the project limits and the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of Main Street and Washington Avenue.
Axis Contracting, Inc. has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.
