Body
BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a construction contract for the installation and rehabilitation of approximately 37,540 feet of water and wastewater mains. The scope of the work includes the installation of approximately 120 feet of 4-inch, 800 feet of 6-inch, 13,000 feet of 8-inch, 1,700 ft of 12-inch and 1,650 feet of 16-inch diameter water mains as well as the installation and rehabilitation of approximately 800 feet of 6-inch, 5,570 feet of 8-inch, 800 feet of 10-inch, and 13,100 feet of 12-inch diameter wastewater mains.

The existing water and wastewater mains were built between 1913 and 1981. These mains are contributing to an increase in maintenance costs, as well as service interruptions. The installation of the proposed segments will improve the capacity of the water and wastewater systems and reduce maintenance costs.
