BACKGROUND

At Brooklyndell Avenue, a new bridge class culvert will be designed to replace the existing bridge at Coombs Creek. For Polk Street, the scope of services includes the design of a new culvert including custom headwalls, the extension of curb and gutter, improved street drainage and channel improvements upstream and downstream of the culvert. The contract also includes comprehensive drainage studies and conceptual designs to select feasible solutions to convey the 100-year storm event at the Coombs Creek Bridge at North Plymouth Road, Cedar Creek Bridge at South Tyler Street, Cedar Creek Channel between the ATSF Railroad and Ewing Avenue, and the Holland Avenue at Miles Street area. Several flood management and storm drainage options will be modeled for each area and recommended alternatives will be selected for further development of comprehensive design improvements. A future supplemental agreement or separate contract will be necessary to complete the design of recommended improvements at these locations.

The services provided for this contract include project management, topographic and boundary surveys, subsurface utility exploration, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, alternative analysis, development of conceptual and preliminary construction plans, structural analysis, and development of pre-final and final construction plans and special specifications.
