BACKGROUND

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide a centrally managed DNS, DHCP, and IP Address space/Management (DDI) solution for security monitoring and threat detection. This solution will optimize the City's network infrastructure and enhance security and operational efficiencies.
Key Benefits include:

* Real-time Identification and mitigation of potential security threats
* IP address management, SHCP, and DNS configuration automation
* Automation of DHCP and DNS activities for reporting and audits

The DIR (Department of Information Resources) agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
