BACKGROUND

Since 1967, the City of Dallas has worked with the TCEQ and its predecessor agencies to support clean air monitoring and enforcement of air quality regulations through a set of renewing contracts for services. There are currently three contracts under which TCEQ funds the City's Ambient Air Monitoring Group to monitor local air quality and to purchase and maintain necessary equipment.

This action addresses Contract No. 582-21-22370, which ensures the monitoring of biological contaminants that could be associated with a bioterrorist attack within Dallas County.
