BACKGROUND

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide continuous use of SnapComms from Everbridge Inform which is an internal communications software solution that bypasses email to get important messages to the City staff. The product will allow the City to share pertinent information with the City network users via alerts, tickets, and screensavers that push information to users. Information Technology Services (ITS) can also utilize SnapComms to submit quizzes to users to promote behavioral changes that promote good cyber-hygiene.


The OMNIA Partners cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
