An ordinance authorizing (1) a correction to Ordinance No. 33252, previously approved on September 24, 2025, which amended Chapter 51A, "Dallas Development Code", SEC. 51A-7.1208(a)(2) as amended to correct numbering consistency; and (2) Ordinance No. 33379, previously approved on April 8, 2026, which amended Ordinance No. 32946, Special Use Permit No. 2569, as amended to correct the hours of operation - Financing: No cost consideration to the City

BACKGROUND
On September 24, 2025, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 33252 for the Arts District Sign District, an area generally bounded by Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Routh Street, Ross Avenue, Saint Paul Street, San Jacinto Street, and North Central Expressway.
Subsequent to the passage of the ordinance, it was determined that a drafting error was present in SEC. 51A-7.1208. DETACHED SIGNS.
The phrase "including kiosks that are located in the public right-of-way or on a private building site," would be added to SEC. 51A-7.1208. DETACHED SIGNS as an explicitly prohibited type of detached sign, and deleted from SEC. 51A-7.1208(a)(1) where it was erroneously listed as an exception to the provisions of SEC. 51A-7.1208(a). The current SEC. 51A-7.1208(a)(2) would be changed to SEC. 51A-7.1208(a)(1) for numbering consistency.
On April 8, 2026, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 33379, an amendment to Specific Use Permit No. 2569 for a bar, lounge, or tavern and inside commercial amusement limited to a live music venue on property zoned Tract A within Planned Development District No. 269, the Deep Ellum/Near East Side District, on the southwestern corner of Main Street and Malcolm X Boulevard.
