BACKGROUND
This item grants renewal of a revocable license to 7-Eleven, Inc., for the use of a total of approximately 25 square feet of aerial space to occupy, maintain and utilize three existing signs over portions of Akard and Elm Streets rights-of-way located near the intersection with Akard and Elm Streets. The use of this area will not impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The term of this license is six years.
The licensee will indemnify the City and carry general liability insurance naming the City as an additional insured.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On December 10, 2014, the City Council authorized a revocable license to 7-Eleven, Inc. for the purpose of installing and maintaining three signs on portions of Akard and Elm Streets rights-of-way by Resolution No. 14-2117; Ordinance No. 29552. The term of this license was nine years.
On January 28, 2015, the City Council authorized an amendment to Ordinance No, 29552 correcting the term of the license by Resolution No. 15-0186; Ordinance No. 29617.
FISCAL INFORMATION
Revenue: General Fund $3,000.00 annually, plus the $20.00 ordinance publication fee
