Authorize the (1) rejection of the bids received for the construction services contract for Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 9; Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 10; and Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 11; and (2) re-advertisement for new bids - Financing: No cost consideration to the City

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize the rejection of the bids received for solicitation CIZ21-2000 - Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 9; CIZ21-2001 - Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 10; CIZ21-2002 - and Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Group 11 for construction of warranted traffic signal installations for the Department of Transportation. The Department of Transportation will review and modify the specifications before re-advertisement.
These projects, Warranted Traffic Signal Installation Groups 9, 10 and 11, were publicly advertised concurrently for two consecutive weeks on June 9, 2021, and June 16, 2021. Three sealed bids were received for each project and were opened on July 16, 2021.
After opening of the bids, the Department of Transportation noted the construction project solicitation included a 25% MWBE goal instead of the most recent City Council approved 32% MWBE goal. The Department has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Dallas to reject all bids received and will re-advertise for new bids at the correct 32% MWBE goal.
