Title
Authorize (1) an engineering services contract with Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. to provide engineering services for the Airfield Pavement Evaluation Program at Dallas Love Field; and (2) an increase in appropriations in an amount not to exceed $521,648.00 in the Aviation Passenger Facility Charge - Near Term Projects Fund - Not to exceed $1,521,648.00 - Financing: Aviation Passenger Facility Charge - Near Term Projects Fund ($521,648.00) and Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program Grant Funds ($1,000,000.00)

BACKGROUND
Dallas Love Field is a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 139 airport and therefore must meet the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards in several areas including pavement maintenance and evaluation. The FAA requires a regular pavement management program be in place for all Part 139 airports. The pavement management program includes a process for evaluating the existing pavement and projecting the useful life of the pavement based upon FAA and industry standards.
The project scope includes evaluation of the existing pavement management program, existing airfield pavement, maintenance records and additional visual and geotechnical surveys to provide repair and/or replacement cost and maintenance recommendations.
This action will authorize an engineering services contract with Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. to provide engineering services for the Airfield Pavement Evaluation Program at Dallas Love Field.
