BACKGROUND
This action will authorize the acceptanace of a private donation from the Friends of the Dallas Public Library, Inc. (FoDPL) on behalf of The Men and Women of Hunt Consolidated, Inc. for the purchase of a large mature tree for the Vickery Branch Library to be located at 8333 Park Lane, a project approved by the citizens of Dallas in the 2017 Bond Program. The large mature tree will be a feature of the public plaza for the approximately 18,000 square foot new neighborhood branch library. The FoDPL is contributing $27,500.00 towards the purchase and planting of the large mature tree.
An Administrative Change Order will be processed to increase the construction services contract with Turner Construction Company for the addition of a large native tree at the public plaza at the Vickery Branch Library located at 8333 Park Lane.
