BACKGROUND
On September 11, 2019, City Council authorized a construction services contract with Horsley Specialties, Inc. for the abatement of asbestos containing materials, mold and lead-based paint at the Hall of State located at 3939 Grand Avenue in Fair Park, in an amount not to exceed $365,473.00, by Resolution No. 19-1413.
This action will authorize Change Order No. 1 to the construction services contract with Horsley Specialties, Inc. for additional scope of work, in an amount not to exceed $84,899.00, increasing the contract amount from $365,473.00 to $450,372.00.
The added scope of work will include the abatement of mold on chandeliers and removal of asbestos-containing window caulk and window glazing compound on all exterior windows and doors. The contract time will be extended by 75 calendar days. All changes are requested by the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department.
