Authorize the (1) acceptance of a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Connecting to Communities Through Outdoor Play Grant Program in the amount of $26,000.00 for the purchase and installation of one unit of play equipment at Danieldale Park located at 500 West Wheatland Road for the period December 2, 2019 through June 30, 2020; (2) receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $26,000.00 in the NRPA-Danieldale Park Fund; (3) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $26,000.00 in the NRPA-Danieldale Park Fund; and (4) execution of a grant agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Not to exceed $26,000.00 - Financing: National Recreation and Park Association Fund

BACKGROUND
The NRPA funding will complement the costs associated with the installation of new play equipment for two to 12-year-old children at Danieldale Park located at 500 West Wheatland Road. The 2017 Bond Program allotment for Danieldale Park improvements included design work, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk from the parking area to the sprayground, the pavilion, and playground, containment edging for the playground with subsurface drainage and engineered wood fiber surfacing. ADA requirements increased the overall budget for improvements at Danieldale Park. This left a shortfall for play equipment. The NRPA award of $26,000.00 will be used toward the purchase and installation of one unit of play equipment, giving the playground much-needed, new play choices.
