Authorize a professional services contract with Gee Consultants, Inc. to provide material testing services during construction of Dolphin Road and Pearl Street and construction of Street Reconstruction Group 17-5007 (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - Not to exceed $94,702.00 - Financing: Street and Transportation (A) Fund (2017 General Obligation Bond Funds) ($66,551.00) and Street and Transportation Improvement Funds (2006 General Obligation Bond Fund) ($28,151.00)

BACKGROUND
The Request for Qualifications (CIZ1728) was issued on August 27, 2018 for the 2018 Construction Material Testing Services. The consulting firm, Gee Consultants, Inc was selected following a qualifications-based selection process in accordance with the City of Dallas procurement guidelines.
This action will authorize a professional services contract with Gee Consultants, Inc. for the construction material testing services during construction of Dolphin Road and Pearl Street and construction of Street Reconstruction Group 17-5007. These testing services are required to assure that the material utilized during construction is in conformance with the quality required by the project specifications.
