BACKGROUND

Dallas Animal Services has identified deficiencies that decrease efficiency and effectiveness due to insufficient animal care staffing our key lifesaving feline programs, including the neonatal kitten nursery, that cannot be effectively supported with current shelter staff. This action will authorize a grant agreement between Petco Foundation, Inc. and the City of Dallas, Department of Dallas Animal Services to fund the hiring of two temporary Feline Care Attendants to support the Dallas Animal Services kitten nursery, community cat Spay Neuter and Release, and cat adoption programs for the period of June 30, 2020 through June 30, 2022.
