Authorize the purchase of a sealer pot for the Department of Aviation with Crafco, Inc. through the Texas Association of School Boards cooperative agreement - Not to exceed $77,122 - Financing: Aviation Fund

BACKGROUND
This item will allow for the purchase of one sealer pot for the Department of Aviation (AVI). In order to remain in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandate runways and taxiways the AVI's system must be fully operational at all times. This sealer pot will be used to heat up material that is used to repair and seal cracks in asphalt areas of runways and taxiways. If cracks in the asphalt are not repaired in a timely manner, further damage could occur leading to higher repair costs. The new sealer pot will allow AVI employees to conduct repairs efficiently to ensure FAA compliance.
The Texas Association of School Boards cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
