Authorize a five-year service price agreement for online tutoring, homework support, and adult education for the Library - Brainfuse, Inc., most advantageous proposer of four - Estimated amount of $90,000 - Financing: General Fund (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.
This service price agreement will provide online tutoring, on-demand study tools, and adult education resources for patrons of the Library. These services are available seven days a week from 2:00 p.m. until midnight for K-12, college introductory classes, and adult education in English as a Second Language. Library patrons will greatly benefit from these tools and act as a building block to expand the Library's digital presence. It is important to maintain online resources such as this to support patrons during this time when students are learning virtually, and many schools are uncertain what school will look like in the fall.
These online resources will support the increased demand for online educational resources and play a critical role in continuing education. In addition to the educational support, this solution provides adults with citizenship and career assistance, including resume writing and support to job seekers.
