BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This Supplemental Agreement will provide for the development and administration of all Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police promotional written exams for the Civil Service Department. Through this contract the vendor is also responsible for developing and administering the assessment centers for these promotional exams. The Civil Service Department is responsible for the examination process for eight promotional Fire-Rescue Department ranks and three promotional Police Department ranks. The Civil Service Department has five staff members dedicate to police and fire testing. Consultant services are needed to help get these tests developed and administered so that the Police and Fire-Rescue Departments can fill vacancies.
