BACKGROUND

 

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the Federal Emergency Management Agency provides Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program - COVID-19 Supplemental funds for the purchase of PPE and related supplies including reimbursements, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus. Dallas Fire-Rescue submitted a grant application and was awarded funding of $973,200.00 with a federal share of $846,260.87 and the City’s share of $126,939.13. The term of the grant is July 3,                      2020 through July 2, 2021. The grant award provides Dallas Fire-Rescue with funds critically needed to purchase gloves, surgical type face masks, and isolation gowns.
