BACKGROUND
Stream banks located along various properties are experiencing severe erosion and need to be stabilized to protect existing structures and critical infrastructure. Engineering solutions have been completed for four locations experiencing severe erosion. This action will authorize a construction contract to implement engineering solutions to address critical erosion at these locations.
The project improvements consist of the installation of gabion walls and gabion mattresses for erosion control at the following four locations: 6431 Riverview Lane, 2200 Block Five Mile Parkway (Five Mile Creek), Turtle Creek west of Cedar Springs Road, and 10553 Pagewood Drive. Construction of the proposed gabion walls and mattresses will address critical erosion concerns at these locations, protecting residential structures at Riverview Lane and Pagewood Drive, the existing roadway at West Five Mile Parkway, and an existing wastewater pipeline adjacent to Turtle Creek.
Austin Filter Systems, Inc. has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.
