BACKGROUND
Vescorp Construction, LLC dba Chavez Concrete Cutting is a Balch Springs-based corporation, operating within the corporate city limits of Balch Springs, Texas. This action will authorize a construction contract with Vescorp Construction, LLC dba Chavez Concrete Cutting for the construction of six alley reconstruction projects as Alley Reconstruction Group 12-2034. The alley reconstruction projects will include replacing the existing deteriorating alleys with new reinforced concrete alley pavement, drive approaches, and storm drainage improvements.

If this project is not awarded for construction at this time, the alleys will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form, creating additional maintenance costs for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the alley. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
