BACKGROUND

 

This item authorizes an amendment to an existing lease agreement with Continental Electronics Corporation, to (1) extend the lease agreement for an additional four years; and (2) amend Section II of the lease agreement to provide for a rental administrative fee and interest charge for late monthly rental payments for approximately 28,000 square feet of warehouse and office space and 127 secured parking spaces located at 8231 and 8239 Hoyle Avenue. The four-year extension will provide for the continued use by the Dallas Water Utilities Pumping Division and Wastewater Collection Division.

 

The four-year extension will begin October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2024.

On June 13, 2001, City Council authorized a three-year Lease Agreement by Resolution No. 01-1809.

 

On June 9, 2004, City Council authorized a First Amendment to Lease Agreement by Resolution No. 04-1828.

 

On August 12, 2009, City Council authorized a Second Amendment to Lease Agreement by Resolution No. 09-1944.

 

On September 26, 2012, City Council authorized a Third Amendment to Lease Agreement by Resolution No. 12-2377.

 

On September 27, 2017, City Council authorized a Fourth Amendment to Lease Agreement by Resolution No. 17-1559.
