BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a consulting services contract with Landry Consulting LLC for the performance of a SMS GAP Analysis, SMS manual development and SMS implementation plan at Dallas Love Field.

This project will include a comprehensive manual and implementation schedule that will ensure the airport meets all the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular (Advisory Circular 150/5200-37) concerning the implementation of a safety management system. Project elements also include a detailed evaluation and plan development in which the vendor will identify gaps via risk assessments in our current practices as well as provide solutions to mitigate identified and potential safety risks on the airfield and within airport facilities, create an inventory of safety metrics for immediate use to ensure safety compliance for tenants and airport employees and a detailed implementation plan for achieving all the FAA required elements of the safety system.
