BACKGROUND
The Department of Aviation, in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration specifications and guidelines, will be commencing a project to reconstruct Runway 13R/31L at Dallas Love Field. The surface of the runway must be reconstructed to meet federal guidelines and provide safety for airport operations and in order to begin reconstruction of the runway, electrical utilities must be installed and Oncor Delivery Company must be granted access onto the airfield to install utilities within the infrastructure area adjacent to the runway.
Runway 13R/31L was originally constructed in 1965 and serves as one of the primary runways for commercial and general aviation takeoffs and landings at Dallas Love Field. The runway was last rehabilitated in 1990. The scope includes but is not limited to demolition, removal, reconstruction, realignment, and relocation of utilities such as Oncor Delivery Company utilities to support the Reconstruction of Runway 13R/31L.
