BACKGROUND

On July 21, 2020, City of Dallas accepted an application for a Street Name change from Dixie Garden Court, at the terminus of Cliff Haven Drive, to "Achievers Court". The statement of the reasons supporting a request are provided in the attached application.

On July 23, 2020, notices of the proposed Street Name Change were sent to the appropriate City Departments and other affected entities in accordance with Section 51A-9.305(a) of the Dallas Development Code.

On July 30, 2020, notification signs were put up on Dixie Garden Court, at the terminus of Cliff Haven Drive notifying the community of the proposed street name change in accordance with Section 51A-9.305(c). On August 3, 2020 notices for Subdivision Review Committee were sent to 6 property owners notifying them of the proposed street name change.

The newspaper notice was published on August 3, 2020. On August 20, 2020, Subdivision Review Committee by unanimous vote recommended approval of the proposed Street Name Change.

On August 31, 2020 notices for City Plan Commission Hearing were sent to 6 property owners notifying them of the proposed Street Name Change in accordance with Section 51A-9.306(b). The newspaper notice was published on August 31, 2020. On October 1, 2020, City Plan Commission by unanimous vote recommended of the proposed Street Name Change.
