Body
BACKGROUND

This Supplemental Agreement will provide for continued public safety emergency services to the residents of Dallas by increasing the number of call taking seats available to receive and process calls to 9-1-1. These additional licenses will provide 9-1-1, Police Department, and Fire-Rescue Department the ability to work simultaneously at the existing primary site and a secondary backup site at any given time.

On November 10, 2015, the City Council authorized a living wage policy that requires contractors to pay their employees a "living wage" rate as established annually by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Living Wage Calculator for Dallas County by Resolution No. 15-2141. This contract renewal option includes the most current living wage of $12.38.
