BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This service contract will provide licenses, hosting, maintenance, and support for a spatial analysis and predictive modeling solution for the Department of Information and Technology Services. This solution provides a comprehensive data platform that will integrate data from multiple data sources. This will allow City departments to share and access data through a single solution.

This solution is a map-based application which will combine property data sets from different applications or departments within the City into a single data set. The property related information from departments like the Department of Code Compliance, Department of Sustainable Development and Construction, and the Department of Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization can be combined as a one data set and analyzed using artificial intelligence. Combining and analyzing the data in a map-based platform in a timely manner will enable, for example, the Department of Code Compliance to predict the vacancy and abandonment of properties which in turn will enable the City to control blight.
