Authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to exercise the first of two one-year renewal options, to the service contract with Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. for maintenance and repair of security apparatus - Not to exceed $1,483,725 - Financing: General Fund ($989,151) and Dallas Water Utilities Fund ($494,574) (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations.
This Supplemental Agreement will provide for continued maintenance and repair of existing security apparatus throughout the City. This agreement does not include new installations. Security apparatus includes: videos recording servers, workstations, door access controllers, badge readers, intercom systems, closed-circuit television cameras, network switches, network input/output modules, keyboard video mouse switches, encoders, cables, and wires connecting components and uninterruptible power supplies. This agreement will continue to provide for the equipment, repair, and maintenance of security apparatus at City owned facilities and departments such as:
• Building Services Department
• City Hall
• Court & Detention Services
• Jack Evans Police Headquarters
• Various pump stations
• Water and wastewater plant operations buildings
• Water Utilities Department
On November 10, 2015, the City Council authorized a living wage policy that requires contractors to pay their employees a “living wage” rate as established annually by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Living Wage Calculator for Dallas County by Resolution No. 15-2141. This contract renewal option includes the most current living wage of $12.38.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On January 10, 2018, City Council authorized a three-year service contract, with two one-year renewal options, for maintenance and repair of existing security and access control systems for the Water Utilities Department and the Department of Equipment and Building Services with Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. by Resolution No. 18-0087.
