Authorize (1) an Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) through a grant from the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (CSJ 0196-06-033, etc., CFDA No. 20.205) in the amount of $388,543.77 to provide cost reimbursement for material and labor costs incurred by the City for intersection and traffic signal improvements at: Harry Hines Boulevard at Willowbrook Road, Northwest Highway (Loop 12) at Lombardy Lane, Buckner Boulevard (Loop 12) at Northwest Highway (State Spur 244), Jim Miller Road at Scyene Road (State Highway 352) and Ledbetter Drive (Loop 12) at Marsalis Avenue; (2) the establishment of appropriations in the amount of $388,543.77 in the TxDOT Traffic Signal Improvement-HSIP December 2020 Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in the amount of $388,543.77 in the TxDOT Traffic Signal Improvement-HSIP December 2020 Fund; and (4) execution of the Interlocal Agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total amount of $388,543.77 - Financing: Texas Department of Transportation Grant Funds

BACKGROUND
TxDOT is constructing intersection improvements at Harry Hines Boulevard at Willowbrook Road, Northwest Highway (Loop 12) at Lombardy Lane, Buckner Boulevard (Loop 12) at Northwest Highway (State Spur [SS] 244), Jim Miller Road at Scyene Road (State Highway [SH] 352) and Ledbetter Drive (Loop 12) at Marsalis Avenue. The traffic signal improvements at the intersections will include upgrades to pedestrian features, signage, pavement marking, and construction of traffic signals.
To remain consistent with other equipment in the City-wide system, the City of Dallas will provide a controller, cabinet, radar detection equipment, and battery backup equipment for the project. TxDOT will reimburse the City for material and labor costs.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
Begin Construction June 2021
Complete Construction December 2022
