BACKGROUND

 

The Oak Farms Project covers the streets grid in the area from Interstate Highway 30 to the north, Trinity River to the northeast, Beckley Avenue, Elsbeth Street, and Zang Boulevard to the west; Cumberland Street and Marsalis Avenue to the southwest; Dart Red Line to the southeast. The project’s scope includes designing the reconstruction of roadways including corridor connections, sidewalks, transit stop, bike lane, traffic calming, on-street parking and streetscape improvements.

 

This project was approved by the North Central Texas Council of Government’s Regional Transportation Council on April 11, 2019.

 

This action will authorize a Local Transportation Project Advance Funding Agreement for the engineering for the project utilizing Transportation Development Credits associated with this project.
