Authorize an acquisition contract for the purchase and installation of a temporary dome structure for the Fire-Rescue Department - TSG Industries, LLC, only bidder - Not to exceed $145,196 - Financing: 2020 Certificate of Obligation Fund

Body
BACKGROUND

This contract will provide for the purchase and installation of a temporary dome structure for the Fire-Rescue Department. The temporary structure will be located at 5807 Royal Lane and will be utilized to garage the fire apparatus and additional firefighting equipment for Fire Station No. 41.

The original Fire Station No. 41 was destroyed by the tornado on October 20, 2019. Due to the extent of the damages, the remainder of the building was demolished and a new replacement facility is currently in the process of being built. The demolition of this fire station has required the Fire-Rescue Department to temporarily double up staff at other fire stations.

It is necessary to build a temporary fire station near the damaged station to efficiently respond to residents' needs covered by Fire Station No. 41. The temporary dome structure will be utilized until the replacement fire station construction is complete.
