BACKGROUND
On August 12, 2015, City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a ten-year lease agreement (originally referred to as Lease Amendment No. 6) for approximately 10,059 square feet of space in the terminal building at Dallas Love Field with the Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") commencing on April 1, 2015 and expiring on March 31, 2025, by Resolution No. 15-1334.
On August 26, 2015, the City Manager authorized Lease Amendment No. 1, which accepted the TSA improvements as completed, established the commencement date of the lease as April 1, 2015, and established the square footage of the leased space as 10,059 square feet.
The City now desires to amend the lease with TSA to add janitorial and maintenance services and provide routine cleaning and disinfecting requirements for the leased premises in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. TSA will pay the City additional rent in an estimated amount of $166,256.88 annually for these services.
