Body
BACKGROUND

This professional services contract will continue to provide needed environmental services for the Cadillac Heights Redevelopment Project. The scope of services includes additional environmental services to close out environmental conditions in the Cadillac Heights - Phase I Area which include additional soil testing, correspondence and report submittals to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), soil and groundwater management during construction, remediation, and oversight.

As part of the Cadillac Heights redevelopment, a project in the 2006 Bond Program, Terracon Consultants, Inc. was contracted to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) where historic and current environmental conditions were identified. Subsequent soil and groundwater testing were conducted by Terracon to confirm the presence or absence of contaminants. Based on the testing results, additional action items are needed to fully evaluate and address environmental conditions in compliance with regulations and to ensure protection of human health and the environment. The additional action items include, but are not limited to, additional soil investigation and remediation, correspondence and report submittals to TCEQ, and soil and groundwater management and oversight during construction.
