Authorize (1) an Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation through a grant from the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (Agreement No. CSJ 009-02-067 CFDA No. 20.205) in the amount of $90,215.00 to provide cost reimbursement for material and labor related to the reconstruction of traffic signals at the intersection of State Highway 78 at Garland Road, Gaston Avenue, and East Grand Avenue; (2) the establishment of appropriations in the amount of $90,215.00 in the 3G Corridor Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in the amount of $90,215.00 in the 3G Corridor Fund; and (4) execution of the agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total amount of $90,215.00 - Financing: Texas Department of Transportation Grant Funds

BACKGROUND
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is reconstructing traffic signals at the intersection of State Highway 78 at Garland Road; Gaston Avenue; and East Grand Avenue. The traffic signal improvements at the intersection will include upgrades to pedestrian features, signage, pavement markings, and reconstruction of traffic signals.
To remain consistent with other equipment in the City-wide system, the City of Dallas will provide a controller, cabinet, radar detection equipment, traffic signs, and battery backup equipment for the project. TxDOT will reimburse the City for material and labor costs.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
Begin Construction July 2021
Complete Construction March 2022
