BACKGROUND
Chapter 39A of the Dallas Code of the City of Dallas provides moving expense and rental assistance payments for individuals displaced by the City of Dallas in conjunction with its real property acquisition activities.
On December 9, 2020, City Council authorized the acquisition of real property known as 19373 Preston Road for the COVID-19 Supportive Housing Project by Resolution No. 20-2333.
12 occupants have been displaced as a direct result of this property acquisition. They qualify for a total moving expense payment total of up to $13,050.00 pursuant to the Dallas City Code.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On December 9, 2020, City Council authorized the acquisition from Sunstone Group, Inc., of approximately 72,032 square feet of commercially improved land located in Collin County for the COVID-19 Supportive Housing Project by Resolution No. 20-2333.
