BACKGROUND

 

On June 27, 2018, City Council authorized a sixteen-month contract, with two one-year renewal options, with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County. On October 23, 2019, City Council authorized the first of two, one-year renewal options to the contract.  On October 28, 2020, City Council authorized the second of two, one-year renewal options to the contract.

 

The job order contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. allows the Park & Recreation Department to take immediate action to repair, restore or upgrade building components when inoperable, damaged by natural wear-and-tear or weather events. Such construction is under direct supervision by park staff.

 

This action will authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the original contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2021, in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00, increasing the contract amount from $8,000,000.00 to $9,000,000.00. Projects will be funded on an as-needed basis, up to this limit.

On June 7, 2018, the Park and Recreation Board authorized a contract with METCO Engineering, Inc.

 

Information about this item was provided to the Quality of Life, Arts and Culture Committee on June 25, 2018.

 

On June 27, 2018, City Council authorized a sixteen-month contract, with two one-year renewal options, with METCO Engineering, Inc., through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2019, by Resolution No. 18-0995.

 

On September 19, 2019, the Park and Recreation Board authorized the first of two, one-year renewal options, to the contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2020.

 

On October 23, 2019, City Council authorized the first of two, one-year renewal options to the contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2020, by Resolution No. 19-1679.

 

On October 15, 2020, the Park and Recreation Board authorized the second of two, one-year renewal options, to the contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2021.

 

On October 28, 2020, City Council authorized the second of two, one-year renewal options to the contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2021, by Resolution No. 20-1721.

 

On June 3, 2021, the Park and Recreation Board authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the original contract with METCO Engineering, Inc. through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Dallas County, to provide job order contracting services for facility projects through November 7, 2021.
