BACKGROUND

On May 26, 2021 City Council adopted two documents by Resolution No. 21-0927. First, City of Dallas Economic Development Policy: Economic Growth and Social Progress for All was adopted as the city's economic development policy. Second, Briefing Paper on Establishing a New Economic Development Entity - City of Dallas was adopted as a set of recommendations for creation of a new economic development entity.

On that same date City Council also approved formation of an economic development advisory task force to advise staff and engaged consultants on the creation of the economic development entity and the implementation of the economic development policy and instructed the City Manager to return with a slate of nominees for City Council approval.

The City manager nominates the following 15 persons to serve an 18-month term on the task force:
