BACKGROUND

 

This contract will include concept design development with hydraulic study, flood plain permits, surveying, geotechnical and cost estimation services. Existing amenities include a trail system along to the creek, parking lot, and near soccer fields. Design of erosion control gabion wall along White Rock Creek and adjacent to White Rock Creek Trail including storm water pipe, headwalls, survey, geotech, flood plain permits and miscellaneous drainage improvements. Design to include two Dallas Water Utilities erosion control areas for design with funding provided by DWU.

 

The Park & Recreation Department issued a Request for Qualifications in August 2021 for Engineering, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture Consulting Services for the 2020 Capital Improvement Projects. DAL-TECH Engineering was considered and selected as the most qualified firm to undertake this project per the consultant selection criteria in Administrative Directive 4-05 and for the particular scope of work. This contract will include concept design development with hydraulic study, flood plain permits, surveying, geotechnical, construction document and cost estimation of erosion control gabion wall along White Rock Creek and adjacent to White Rock Creek Trail. Design scope includes two additional Dallas Water Utilities erosion control areas with funding provided by DWU.
