Authorize a construction services contract for the construction of Street Reconstruction Group 17-10005 (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - La Banda, LLC, lowest responsible bidder of six - Not to exceed $2,214,073.00 - Financing: Street and Transportation (A) Fund (2017 General Obligation Bond Funds) ($1,339,353.00), Water Construction Fund ($47,050.00), Water Capital Improvement F Fund ($507,540.00), Wastewater Construction Fund ($26,720.00), and Wastewater Capital Improvement G Fund ($293,410.00)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with La Banda, LLC for the construction of five reconstruction projects as Street Reconstruction Group 17-10005.
The project scope will include replacing the existing deteriorating concrete streets with reinforced concrete pavement, storm drainage, and water and wastewater improvements.
La Banda, LLC is a Dallas-based corporation, operating within the corporate city limits of Dallas, Texas.
Following are the locations and construction costs for each project:

La Banda, LLC has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.
If this project is not awarded for construction at this time, the streets will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form, creating additional maintenance costs for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the streets. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
