Authorize an Interlocal Agreement with Dallas County to provide the essential public health services as the Health Authority for the City for a term of two years - Not to exceed $20,000.00 - Financing: General Fund

BACKGROUND
This agreement is for the professional services of the County to act on behalf of the City of Dallas as its Health Authority for the purposes reflected in the contract, in providing essential public health services. Dallas County Health and Human Services further agrees to provide the services of its Medical Director, to act in the capacity of the City's Health Authority.
Additionally, we propose including the following language to the new contract: The County will be the Health Authority for all the city of Dallas regardless of those area of the city that are within another county. The County will coordinate all efforts with those County Health Departments that cover City of Dallas outside of Dallas County and will ensure any actions, including the collection or recording of data, are consistent throughout all the city of Dallas.
Under this agreement, the City shall pay the County an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 per 24 months, at a rate of $10,000.00 per year, for services described in the Contract.
