BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This Supplemental Agreement will provide for continued parking services for the Department of Transportation (TRN). Through this increase the awarded supplier will continue to provide a citation and collection system as well as the collection of parking fines. Conduent provides the software platform, handheld devices, and citation processing for the Department of Transportation's parking enforcement operation function. This system is necessary to enforce parking laws, issue parking citations, or process parking payments. The ratification amount is needed to pay outstanding invoices for parking services that were required in order to avoid an interruption in services during the term of the agreement.

TRN currently has 33 employees who utilize the system on a daily basis and plans to expand this number in the coming months to approximately 53 employees.
