BACKGROUND

On June 24, 2020, City Council authorized a twenty-four-month contract for the 2020 Sidewalk and Barrier Free Ramp Improvements that includes water and wastewater adjustments at Various Locations Contract by Resolution No. 20-0974.

This action will authorize an increase to extend the existing twenty-four-month contract with Vescorp Construction, LLC dba Chavez Concrete Cutting for an additional twelve months, which will now end on August 24, 2023, to continue providing sidewalk and barrier free ramp installation paving services for the Sidewalk Program. The extension is granted due to the contractor's outstanding performance and the agreement to continue using the original contract bid rates.

The installation of sidewalks and barrier free ramps throughout the city is required to ensure the City of Dallas' compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
