BACKGROUND
On May 5 and 12, 2021, the City of Dallas advertised for bids for Kidd Springs Park Japanese Garden Renovations. In response to the advertisement, the Office of Procurement Services received bids from two responsive firms on June 18, 2021.
This action will award a construction services contract with Gilbert May Inc. DBA Phillips May Corporation for construction of Kidd Springs Park Japanese Garden renovations, lowest responsive bidder of two for the Base Bid and Alternates Nos. 1 and 2, in an amount not to exceed $1,073,770.00. This project was included in the 2017 Bond Program.
The scope of work includes the construction of an accessible walkway through the Japanese Garden between the recreation center and creative playground.
Gilbert May, Inc. DBA Phillips/May Corporation has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas for the past three years.
