BACKGROUND
The Dallas Police Department seeks to enter an agreement with District Attorney’s Office of Travis County for disposition of proceeds from contraband forfeited pursuant to Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure (TCCP).
The provisions of this agreement as defined herein that is seized and forfeited under Chapter 59, TCCP. DPD shall retain 70% of all forfeited property and the proceeds from the sale thereof, to be used for official law enforcement purposes, and the Attorney Representing the State shall retain 30% of all forfeited property and the proceeds from the sale thereof.
