Authorize (1) the rejection of bids for a construction services contract for the Alley Reconstruction Group 17-1488; and (2) the re-advertisements for new bids - Financing: No cost consideration to the City

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize the rejection of one bid received for the Alley Reconstruction Group 17-1488 due to discrepancies in the bid proposal. Estrada Concrete Company, LLC, submitted the only bid received on Friday, July 1, 2022, in the amount of $3,881,024.20. The Alley Reconstruction Group 17-1488 is anticipated to be re-advertised for a new round of competitive bids to bring the construction contract to City Council for consideration at the November 9, 2022, City Council meeting.
This project was publicly advertised for two consecutive weeks on June 22, 2022 and June 29, 2022 for the Alley Reconstruction Group 17-1488. One sealed bid was received and opened on Friday, July 1, 2022.
