Title
Authorize (1) the rejection of bids for a construction services contract for the Street Reconstruction Group 17-1410 (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet); and (2) the re-advertisements for new bids - Financing: No cost consideration to the City

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize the rejection of the one bid received for the Street Reconstruction Group 17-1410, due to the bid received being 55 percent higher than the Engineer’s estimate. Estrada Concrete Company, LLC, submitted the only bid received on Friday, July 15, 2022, in the amount of $3,732,407.70. Street Reconstruction Group 17-1410 is anticipated to be re-advertised for a new round of competitive bids and bring the construction services contract to City Council for consideration at the January 26, 2023, City Council meeting.
This project was publicly advertised for two consecutive weeks on June 29, 2022 and July 6, 2022 for the Street Reconstruction Group 17-1410. One sealed bid was received and opened on Friday, July 15, 2022.
